Trainer
This role will appeal to a range of people from those with experience in Primary or Secondary PE to keen orienteering coaches. You may have years of experience, or you may be brimming with enthusiasm to learn a new skillset. Either way, we would love to hear from you – complete the application form below!
Creating accurate orienteering maps of school settings
Delivering informative, engaging, and inspiring staff training
Creating excellent relationships with our customers i.e. all school staff
Communicating with our customers to ensure they receive the best possible service
Setting up permanent and long-lasting orienteering courses using our company products and equipment, ensuring the course is safe and accessible for school pupils
Communicating and promoting new products and resources to existing schools
Hours: full-time, part-time and freelance roles are available. Full-time staff work 40-45 hours per week Monday-Friday
Salary/wage: competitive based on your experience, qualifications and current/previous roles – all experience levels can apply!
Holidays: full-time staff will receive a minimum of 30 days per annum
Location: Nationwide – you will travel to different schools each day
Overtime/time in lieu: Available during busy periods

9:00 am – Arrive at the school, meet the staff and complete the survey & fieldwork
11:00 am – Scan fieldwork and complete cartography using OCAD mapping software or equivalent
2:00 pm – Install the orienteering course
3:15 pm – If schools have opted for staff training, you will then deliver a 90-minute training session on how to implement our nationwide active learning programme
5:00 pm – Head home or to your paid-for hotel and switch off
Usually, our trainers will work most of their weekly hours over 4 days, visiting 4 schools per week. The other day may involve a few hours working from home on admin-type tasks, phone calls or online tasks.
We work with schools nationwide so you will be required to travel and sometimes stopover if the school is more than 2.5 hours from your home. Where possible, you will be allocated schools closer to your home. All accommodation and overnight food/drink expenses will be paid for by the company. At the end of each week, you will claim back mileage expenses using our favourable allowances designed to cover fuel, wear and tear and depreciation. We also try to share away trips equally between our trainers throughout the year. You will need a valid UK driving license and a vehicle suitable for motorway driving.
You will undergo an enhanced DBS check to ensure your right to work in a school setting + qualification checks
During your initial weeks with us, you will be given training on various or all aspects of the role depending on your experience and skillset.

Our outdoor, active, cross-curricular product is always improving. We offer full-time and part-time lesson creator roles and we have teachers who work with us on a part-time basis alongside their teaching commitments. This role involves creating outstanding, outdoor, active lessons to be used by teachers across the UK and internationally. A good subject knowledge is essential with the passion and drive to bring creative ideas to life. We are looking for like-minded people who can join us in creating lessons for a variety of subject areas across all age ranges. If this role appeals to you, complete the application form below.
Subject areas: Geography, History, Science, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Computing, Maths, English, Religious Studies, PSHE, Citizenship, Music

Moving creative lesson ideas to real-life teaching practice, by writing clear and concise lesson content supported by diagrams. Some lessons will also be supported by short voice-over video demonstrations [training will be provided]
Ensuring lessons are fun, engaging, skill-based, practical, and easy to understand
Proof-reading for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors
Developing a basic and easy-to-use assessment system to accompany the sequence of learning developed
Once completed for English schools, there may be opportunity to convert/ adapt for schools based in other countries such as Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and overseas.
Experience with lesson planning and content creation in one or more subject areas
